We have been selling on eBay under 53Ragtop since July of 2003 and it is nice to be recognized for the hard work we have put into it. Just to be clear, eBay does not give you this status, the high feedback customers leave you does. As a whole, we don’t enjoy selling on eBay at all. Lemorris and I recently purchased tools that analyzed the structure of the html pages on www.chirco.com domain, since the load time was taking 12.2 seconds to fully down load. As you can imagine, 12.2 seconds is an eternity for a web page to load. After about 2 hours of work, we had Chirco.com loading at 4.1 seconds with a low time of 3.7 seconds.

I’m guessing that it took you about 2 seconds to be totally board with this update

We are working on our Technical Articles

We have been working on our Technical Articles that we have with in the site and the forums. Currently we have close to 70 articles that have been collected over the 8 bazillion years.

Lemorris had the great idea to give all the articles the same look and feel. He also wanted the text only articles to have either an image or a video included in it. Our project finish date is November 2050, but we might be able to wrap it up prior.

To make it easy for our customers to find the articles, we have them in four locations, so after one is completed it is being reformatted in each location. When we are done burning the mid night oil re-doing these, we will update everyone.

Chirco Helps Air Cooled Car Clubs

The Chirco Forums Got a New Look and Feel Today

We finally had a chance to sit down and review the Chirco forums to make some necessary changes. Lemorris was very quick to open up photoshop and start freshening up the banners and linking them to new threads. He also wanted to create an Introduction thread so newer members could read about existing members and also post an introduction of their own. The How to use the forum information was consolidated into one post, and the same thing with the eStore help post.
There is still more to come, all very exciting.
