I have been looking around, and have had no luck finding a set of wheelie bars for a VW.  I am in the process of building a trike and would love to find a set.  Any ideas?

Thanks Rick,
The prices on those are a lot better, but still kinda high.  I dont know what I was thinking they would cost, but In the same respect, I figured you would be able to buy a set for 200 or less.  Huh

It's a tradeoff of what it would cost to buy & tweak those which were already engineered specificly for your purpose & application as opposed to what it would cost to construct one on a one-off basis from scratch & then have to tune it correctly to account for torque twist of the chassis on takeoff madrider Smiley ,the high quality tubing/springs & top notch race rated wheels at the back end alone by themselves unassembled would probably pretty closely approach the cost of a completely prebuilt/tested assembly which'd only have to be adjusted to fit Wink ,if that one-off isn't set up right,or worse, strong enough you will either end up meeting up with a curb or opposing traffic in a hot second verrry unexpectedly Shocked .
Perrib Smiley built his own due to looong time experience in the driver's seat headbang Beer ,I assisted in a springrate wheelie bar mod on a VW powered Fiat 600 racecar http://www.google.com/images?q=VW+powered+Fiat+600&hl=en&gbv=2&tbs=isch:1&sa=N&start=0&ndsp=20 back in the late 1970's Afro ,that fl*&&#n' car would go anywhere Box Banghead but straight once the front wheels were off the ground, good times LOL_Sign  Roll Eyes until we changed out the spendy industrial machinist springs in order to beeend it back straight on launch, old tech granted but still very relavent on a trike that weighs maybe 3-400lbs? with probably the potential to put out ~90-100HP?,just watching your back bro Wink Smiley Beer Grin

Thanks Buggyman.
That was some good info.  Sometimes we get caught up in trying to save a few bucks that we miss some other important parts.  When you think about it that way, 350. is a bargin!  Grin
