hello . i have a 1962 sliding rag baja. i have 1960 gear reduction hubs. i put in all new bearings . bought a new set of gears 4.11 richmond superdiff . bought hardened shafts and close ratio gears in the tranny. runs strong and am happy with motor..  but the front end nearly beats me to death and so does the rear. i have heavy rear torsion bars that are not stock and dual shocks. i want more travel on front . would like more travel . mostly trails down in our local river. am welder by trade but do not know what is best approach.getting ready to gusset  front likpin spindles. and retube the front tie rod. brace outer parts of torsion housing.. saw the warrior beams but is that what i want will it work  with the stock front torsion bars or can i make them independant with coil overs money is tight but have a welder and time. thank you

Welcome to the forums.
I found a photo of a coil over Baja. All of the front weight is handled now by the shocks.
He has removed the torsion springs and is using thru pins to hold the arms.
This can be a pricey switch over.
The shocks is where the $$$ start adding up.
Please let us know how we an help.
